Elephant Tusk Okra is a unique and beautiful variety of okra, 8-12″ long elephant tusk like shaped pods.The pods remain a light green in color and taste best when tender. Ladyfinger, popularly known as bhindi in India, is rich in nutrients. It is considered a good source of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, enzymes, calcium, potassium and many other nutrients. Ladyfinger is known by several other names around the globe. Bhindi is known as okra, edible hibiscus, ladies’ finger, Ladies Finger or Bhendi can be grown well in all kinds of soil. .But sandy loam and clay-loam soils are best for its cultivation. To germinate seeds quickly and effectively, we suggest soaking the seeds in water for around 6 to 8 hours. Okra is a summer season crop. It can sustain the high sunlight and it needs 6 to 7 hours sunlight every day.
