Lady’s finger, popularly known as bhindi in India, is rich in nutrients. It is considered a good source of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, enzymes, calcium, potassium, and many other nutrients. Ladyfinger is known by several other names around the globe. Bhindi is known as okra, edible hibiscus, ladies’ finger, Lady’s Finger or Bhendi can be grown well in all kinds of soil. But sandy loam and clay-loam soils are best for its cultivation. To germinate seeds quickly and effectively, we suggest soaking the seeds in water for around 6 to 8 hours. Okra is a summer season crop. It can sustain high sunlight and it needs 6 to 7 hours of sunlight every day.
